Pedestrian Killed in Stanton Hit-and-Run Near Knott and Katella Avenues
STANTON, CA (November 24, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian near Knott and Katella avenues in Stanton.
According to an article published by The Orange County Register, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 5:40 a.m.
The incident happened on November 23 when a car struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Stanton. The driver hit him near the intersection of Knott and Katella avenues.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found a victim left lying on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies said the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled northbound on Knott. They described the car as possibly a light-colored 2003-2017 Ford Expedition with a dark trim.
The SUV with roof racks apparently obtained front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. Officers forced the corner of Knott and Katella avenues to shut down for a time following the incident.
