Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (June 15, 2022) — Stefanie Beltran, 60, of Perris, died in a multi-vehicle crash on the Interstate 215 Freeway Tuesday morning, near Spruce Street and just south of the Riverside (91) Freeway.
The collision occurred on the northbound side of the I-215 about 7:55 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers involved included a white Ford hatchback or crossover vehicle, a silver Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and possibly, a green Chevrolet Suburban. One of the vehicles was on the southbound side of the freeway. Apparently, a tire from one of a gray vehicle and bounced over the media into opposing traffic.
The Riverside Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene to help those hurt in the crash. Sadly, Stefanie Beltran suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the Riverside crash at 8:15 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
Caltrans issued a SigAlert and closed down the HOV and No. 1 lanes due to the collision and subsequent investigation. Meanwhile, tow trucks removed two vehicles for evidence.
