Deadly Pedestrian Accident at East Seventh Street and Campus Drive
Long Beach, CA (September 1, 2022) – Stephanie Cerna, a 32-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of East Seventh Street and Campus Drive.
The Long Beach Post News reported a vehicle struck the woman near Cal State Long Beach. Officials said the horrible crash took place on August 22, Monday.
Preliminary investigation revealed Cerna was walking east on Seventh Street in the eastbound lanes of traffic. When the pedestrian approached the intersection at Campus Drive, a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander hit the woman.
Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Long Beach
Officials said the collision happened around 1:41 a.m. Shortly after, emergency crews arrived at the site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the injured woman but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified the deceased as Stephanie Cerna.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the deadly accident.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the fatal crash.
