Stephanie Cooley, 55, Hit and Critically Injured by Car
PORTERVILLE (September 19, 2018) – A pedestrian was critically injured after a traffic accident in the area of Putnam Avenue and Second Street Monday afternoon, according to Visalia Times Delta.
The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Stephanie Cooley.
As per the article, police said at about 4 p.m. Cooley was crossing at Putnam Avenue and 2nd Street when she was struck by a 2017 Chrysler.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 16-year-old boy, was turning south onto 2nd when for an unknown reason he failed to stop and hit Cooley who was in the crosswalk at the time.

Paramedics responded to the scene and found Cooley with serious njuries in the roadway. She was then flown to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the teen motorist does not have a driver’s license when the collision took place. The incident is still under investigation.
