Man Struck by Vehicle on Nov. 21st Dies in Hospital
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2023) — Stephen Debow, 42, of North Park, died Monday just six days after being critically injured in an pedestrian accident at Utah Street and Polk Avenue in North Park.
The deadly crash occurred at around 7:16 p.m. on Nov. 21st, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The Del Mar man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection due to unknown circumstances. Paramedics responded and rushed him to Scripps Mercy Hospital’s emergency room where he was treated and later admitted to the hospital.
Over the following six days, his condition declined and Stephen Debow died at the hospital at 3:21 a.m. on Nov. 27th, the report said.
The San Diego Police Department is heading up the investigation to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Utah Street.
