Vista Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Fallbrook
FALLBROOK, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2019) — Stephen Edward Glass, 53, of Vista, died Saturday in a motorcycle accident on Highway 76 in Fallbrook.
The crash happened about 6:20 p.m. The Vista man was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on Hwy 76 approaching the I-15 Freeway on ramp when the driver of an 2010 Honda Pilot SUV turned left in front of the bike, according to a report by the San Diego Medical Examiner. The SUV was traveling eastbound on Highway 76 at the time of the collision. The impact caused the bike to crash into the SUV and ejected Glass and his 43-year-old female passenger.
The driver of the SUV, a teenager who had two passengers aboard, stopped and called 911 for police and paramedics to respond. The passenger from the motorcycle was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
Glass suffered major injuries and died at the scene at 6:28 p.m. There were no other injuries reported to police.
Police are investigating the crash and will assign fault.
