
Pedestrian Stephen Stith, 72, Killed in Bakersfield Crash at Harris and Wible
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 16, 2023) – Stephen Stith was killed after a pedestrian crash at Harris and Wible roads in Bakersfield.
The coroner’s office identified the 72-year-old Bakersfield man as the victim of the fatal accident which took place on Monday.
The incident happened when Stephen Stith was crossing the intersection of Harris and Wible roads in the city of Bakersfield.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him. The Bakersfield Californian and Kern Golden Empire wrote that the collision occurred on March 13 at around 6:16 a.m.
Stephen Stith died as a result of the pedestrian accident. Meanwhile, officers added that the dog of the victim walking with him when he was hit was unharmed.
The driver involved stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Harris and Wible roads to shut down for a time after the collision.
The cause of the Bakersfield pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
