Pedestrian Killed in Antioch Crash Identified
ANTIOCH, Calif. (May 11, 2020) – Steven Armstrong, 29, died, and two others suffered injuries Friday night following a traffic accident on Highway 4.
A 2012 Nissan sedan struck a pedestrian at about 9:20 p.m. in the westbound side of State Route 4 at Laurel Road.
Paramedics responded to the scene where they found the injured man lying in the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian died at the scene. He was later identified as Steven Armstrong.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Bethel Island woman who was driving the Nissan was transported to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Two others in the car were unharmed.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
