Steven Buehler, 53, Killed in Riego Road Crash Near Highway 99
SUTTER COUNTY (December 19, 2018) – Two people killed after a traffic collision along Riego Road near Highway 99 Monday have been identified, according to Appeal Democrat.
Sutter County Sheriff’s Office said both 47-year-old Erica Marie Bair and 53-year-old Steven Douglas Buehler died at the scene of the accident on December 17.
As per the article, officials determined that Bair was going east on Riego Road when for an unknown reason the motorist veered onto the right shoulder of the road.

The Yuba City resident then went back into the westbound lane, and again back to the road shoulder. The driver swerved back into the westbound lane and collided with a pickup truck.
At the same time, Buehler was traveling east behind Bair. The Roseville man failed to stop in time and crashed into Bair’s car.
The vehicles of the deceased parties both sustained major damage upon impact. The wreck took place at about 4:23 p.m., east of the highway.
Meanwhile, the operator of the truck was taken to Rideout Medical Center with minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
