Fresno Police Officer Injured in Crash at Oleander and Snow Avenues
FRESNO (February 13, 2020) – A police officer was hospitalized after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Oleander and Snow avenues on Thursday morning.
According to reports by The Fresno Bee and FOX 26 News, the accident took place at about 10:15 a.m. It happened near Highway 99.
A Fresno police patrol officer was traveling south on Snow Avenue when it collided with another vehicle headed eastbound on Oleander Avenue.
Suspected DUI Driver Steven Huber, 40, Arrested
Paramedics responded to the scene and provided initial treatment to the male officer who complained of pain as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel then transported the patient to the hospital for further medical aid and assessment. His name and condition of the victim at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities determined that the driver of the second car involved was driving under the influence when the wreck occurred.
Officials arrested the suspect, 40-year-old Fresno resident Steven Huber, for possession of multiple controlled substances and suspicion of DUI.
