Stewart Miller, 73, Hit and Killed by Truck on 40 Freeway
LUDLOW, San Bernardino (October 24, 2017) – On October 16, Monday, 73-year-old Stewart Alston Miller was killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer on the westbound Interstate 40 Freeway.
According to the Daily Press, Miller was hit by the trailer Monday morning. Reports indicated that the victim, a Perris resident, was found by first responders down on the ground and lying on his back following the collision. Miller was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
It was not immediately clear what Miller was doing in the area prior to the accident. The truck driver reportedly tried to avoid hitting the man but was unable to.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned a Volkswagen sedan was found at the accident scene but its exact role in the crash was not disclosed.
At this time, investigators are still working on determining the precise circumstances that led to the deadly incident.
