Bicyclist, 15, Injured in Stockton Hit-and-Run at March Lane and Quail Lakes Drive
STOCKTON, CA (November 26, 2021) – A teen bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash at March Lane and Quail Lakes Drive in Stockton.
According to an article published by the CBS Sacramento, the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision on November 24.
The incident happened when an SUV turned right and failed to see several bicyclists crossing the Stockton street. Police said the car struck a 15-year-old boy riding a bicycle in the process.
The driver of the SUV hit the teen at the intersection of March Lane and Quail Lakes Drive.
Driver Hits Boy, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They found the boy limping and hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took the victim to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The report did not disclose the condition of the wounded patient at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the cyclist and then fled the area. They described the car as an early 2000s-model Chevy Tahoe.
Officers forced the corner of March Lane and Quail Lakes to shut down following the collision. The Stockton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
