At Least 1 Badly Hurt on Rollover Collision on West Side (5) Freeway Wednesday
Stockton, CA (August 18, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a big rig truck occurred Wednesday morning on Interstate 5, also known as West Side Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a semi truck overturned in the northbound side of the freeway in Stockton. Officials said the big rig came to a rest after slamming against the wall in the center divider near Mathews Road offramp.

Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 8:52 a.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, officials confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the incident.
At this time, several factors surrounding the car crash in Stockton remained unclear. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the truck accident on Interstate 5 happened.
