Major Injury Stockton Car Accident on I-5 Freeway at Crosstown Freeway
STOCKTON, Calif. (March 11, 2022) — A two-vehicle Stockton crash on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway happened early Friday near Highway 4.
The collision happened about 5:40 a.m. on March 11th at the transition to the eastbound Highway 4 Crosstown Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Ford pickup truck and a white Toyota Camry collided in the fast lane near the transition ramp, police said. At least one of the vehicles crashed into a railing and caused significant damage in several spots, the CHP said.
Paramedics responded and located at least one person with major injuries from the collision. They transported the person by ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.
Authorities did not mention what lead up to the Stockton crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway, but they are investigating and will determine fault.
Tow trucks removed both vehicles and cleared the roadway by 6:45 a.m. this morning.
