Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on State Route 99 Monday
Stockton, CA (October 25, 2021) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of State Route 99 and Arch Road Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol group, a vehicle struck an individual in the southbound side of Highway 99. The collision took place near the Arch Road onramp in Stockton.
Officials said the force from the impact caused the pedestrian to be thrown onto the center divider.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Stockton, October 25
Shortly after 5:45 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the pedestrian unconscious. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities described the car involved in the wreck as a gray Acura MDX. No immediate information was available on the driver who struck the victim.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident in Stockton.
