Man, 20, Seriously Injured in Stockton Crash on El Dorado Street Near Churchill
STOCKTON, CA (April 16, 2022) – One was seriously injured after a DUI crash on El Dorado Street near Churchill Street in Stockton.
According to an article published by the CBS Sacramento, the accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:30 p.m.
The incident happened on April 15 when a white Chevrolet truck was traveling on El Dorado Street in Stockton. Police said the truck then drifted into oncoming traffic.
In the process, the Chevrolet slammed head-on into a red Toyota near Churchill Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
DUI Driver Hits Another Car Head-On
They found the 20-year-old man driving the Toyota who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, police determined that the driver of the truck was under the influence of alcohol when he hit the other car.
They soon arrested the suspect for felony DUI and driving with a suspended license for a previous DUI. Officers forced a stretch of El Dorado Street to shut down following the wreck.
The Stockton DUI crash is still under investigation.
