Bicycle Rider Killed in Stockton Crash Near Navy Drive and Charter Way
STOCKTON, CA (November 8, 2021) – A crash killed a bicycle rider near Navy Drive and Charter Way in Stockton.
According to an article published by the CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident took place early Monday. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 3:30 a.m.
Stockton police said a commercial vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The two collided near the intersection of Navy Drive and Charter Way.
Bicyclist Hit by Commercial Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the bicyclist lying on the ground. The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stayed at the site and cooperated with the officials. The cause of the fatal Stockton bicycle crash is still investigation.
Officers forced the area of Navy Drive and Charter Way to shut down for hours following the incident.
