Innocent Man Killed in Collision at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Lincoln Street Sunday
Stockton, CA (January 16, 2022) – A 37-year-old man died following a car accident that occurred in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Lincoln Street.
The FOX40 News published an article online reporting a chase ensued in the streets of Stockton Sunday morning. Police were pursuing a 15-year-old driver traveling at a high-rate of speed on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, also known as Charter Way.
Moments later, the teenager driver crashed into an uninvolved vehicle at the intersection in Lincoln Street. The catastrophic incident took place at about 10:20 a.m.
Responding emergency crews found the innocent motorist unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Officials mentioned they eventually arrested the teen driver for vehicular manslaughter. Per local news sources, the suspect first received treatment for injuries sustained in the collision; before being booked into the San Joaquin County Juvenile Hall.
Further investigation is underway on the deadly car accident at Martin Luther King Jr. and Lincoln Street.
