1 Killed, 4 Injured in Stockton Crash Near El Dorado Street and Ivy Avenue
STOCKTON, CA (May 22, 2021) – A car crash near El Dorado Street and Ivy Avenue killed one person and injured several others in Stockton.
According to the CBS Sacramento and ABC 10 News, the tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 11 a.m.
Police said a vehicle going south on El Dorado Street collided with another car in Stockton. The two crashed for an unknown near the intersection with Ivy Avenue.
3 Children Victims in Car Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found a total of five people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They rushed them to a hospital for treatment.
The 24-year-old woman driving southbound and the three children riding the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver, a 39-year-old woman, later died.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officials forced the area of El Dorado Street and Ivy Avenue to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Stockton crash is still under investigation.
