Stockton Fatal Car Crash on North California Street

1 Killed, 1 Injured in Stockton Crash on North California Street

STOCKTON, CA (November 23, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured another on North California Street in Stockton.

According to the ABC 10 News and CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 7:45 a.m.

Stockton police said a vehicle going south on North California Street crossed into the northbound lane for an unknown reason. Its female driver then slammed into another car in the 2500 block of North  California Street.

2 Cars Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced the woman who drifted into oncoming traffic dead at the scene.

The other motorist, also a woman, ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took her to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of California Street to shut down for a time following the wreck.

The cause of the fatal Stockton crash is still under investigation.
