1 Killed, 1 Injured in Stockton Crash on Turnpike Road Near Interstate 5
STOCKTON, CA (August 7, 2022) – A car crash on Turnpike Road killed one person and injured another in Stockton.
According to the ABC 10 News and KCRA News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:36 p.m.
The incident happened on August 6 when two vehicles collided in the city of Stockton. Police said the cars crashed in the 3100 block of South Turnpike Road near the Interstate 5.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They then found at least two men who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed both patients to area hospitals, where one of them soon died. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police believed that speed played a role in the accident. Officers forced a stretch of Turnpike Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Stockton crash is still under investigation.
