STOCKTON, California (July 31, 2016) – A man is dead and eight people including seven children were injured as a result of a collision at Hammer Lane and Girardi Way, according to an article by Rercordnet.
The accident happened on July 30, Saturday at around 9:23 p.m. near the Stockton Auto Mall.
In detail, the article mentioned officers are investigating a fatal wreck that occurred at the intersection. The man was driving a Chevrolet Camaro with four juvenile passengers aboard. His vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by a woman with three juveniles.
A man identified as Samnang Yan, 35, of Stockton, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro with four juvenile passengers aboard. His vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by a woman with three juveniles.
Yan died of his injuries while seven juveniles and the woman were all taken to hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
An investigation is ongoing as several factors remain unclear.
