STOCKTON (February 7, 2017)- According to the California Highway Patrol and the Record, a fatal head-on crash took place Tuesday afternoon on Highway 4 near Whiskey Slough Road.
California Highway Patrol officials indicated that the collision occurred at roughly 2:43 p.m.
The Record disclosed that a 24-year-old man driving a Chevy had been traveling eastbound on Highway 4 before crossing over the double yellow into westbound traffic lanes directly into the path of an older Honda.
Inside the Honda was a man, 48, and a woman, 38, both residents of Stockton. Both parties sadly did not survive as the man was pronounced at the scene while the woman was pronounced at the hospital. Both parties remain unidentified at this time.
The 24-year-old man who remains unidentified suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized. It remains to be known whether or not he was under the influence at the time of the crash.
No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning.
