Authorities disclosed the collision occurred at roughly 7:40 p.m. involving one vehicle and a bicyclist.
Upon their arrival, a bicyclist was found with grave injuries and an abandoned Honda with two passengers inside, a man and a woman.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene only to confirm that all these victims had succumbed to their injuries as they were each pronounced dead.
CBS San Francisco identified the cyclist as 27-year-old Stockton resident John Eric Stevens and the two passengers in the Honda as Raymond Lawrence Schenone and Michelle Joanne Vargas. Both were 23-year-old Stockton residents.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Honda, 23-year-old Matthew Barnec, of Stockton, fled on foot following the accident. He was eventually arrested and booked into San Joaquin County Jail on felony hit-and-run charges.
