Woman, 83, Killed in Stockton Hit-and-Run; Yevonne Becker Arrested
STOCKTON- According to KCRA News, a deadly pedestrian versus auto hit-and-run occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Eighth Street and Mariposa Road.
Per Fox 40 News, an 83-year-old woman was struck as the crossed the intersection by a woman who fled the scene immediately following the collision.
The victim who remains unidentified sadly did not survive her injuries and was pronounced at the scene.
Meanwhile, Fox 40 News confirmed that the driver of the involved vehicle identified as Yevonne Becke, 45, was arrested a short while later for hit-and-run and possibly driving under the influence.
Stockton PD will handle the investigation and reveal more information later this evening.
