Pedestrian Killed in Stockton Crash on Pacific Avenue
STOCKTON, CA (February 5, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Pacific Avenue near Douglas Road in Stockton.
According to an article published by the ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the collision on February 5 at around 6:30 p.m.
Stockton police said the incident happened when a car struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The vehicle hit the person on Pacific Avenue, north of Douglas Road.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the individual dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the car did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Pacific Avenue to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Stockton pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
