STOCKTON, California (October 17, 2016) – A 31-year-old man succumbed to his injuries sustained after a possible hit-and-run collision on Highway 88 (Waterloo Road) Monday morning, according to an article by Recordnet.
At 6:38 a.m., CHP officers responded to the site and located a man lying in the middle of the road.
The article added that the victim was struck by two vehicles- a 2006 Ford pickup truck driven by 84-year-old Audley Deyoung, and a dark sedan.
The driver of the sedan dragged the pedestrian man a short distance before fleeing the scene.
As per the article, emergency crews began providing medical aid to the unidentified 31-year-old male pedestrian, however, he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Police officials are looking into whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role while they also seek help in locating the hit-and-run suspect.
