Stockton Head-on Crash Mariposa Road, Carpenter Road

Semi-Truck, Car Collide at Stockton Intersection

STOCKTON, Calif. (Jan. 16, 2024) — A head-on crash between a semi-truck and a car happened Tuesday morning in Stockton at East Mariposa Road and Carpenter Road.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:55 a.m. on Jan. 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of a black Nissan Sentra sedan and a semi-truck were involved. The two vehicles collided head-on and the truck landed in a nearby ditch. Meanwhile, the car sustained major damage and was smoking after the collision.

Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash, including at least one with major injuries. An ambulance transported the person to a hospital.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Mariposa Road in Stockton.
