1 Seriously Injured in Stockton Hit-and-Run Crash on Northbound 5 Freeway
STOCKTON, CA (April 27, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash seriously injured at least one person on the 5 Freeway in Stockton.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the accident on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on April 26 at around 3:07 p.m.
CHP said a blue sedan and a dark colored vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on the northbound 5 Freeway, just south of Benjamin Holt Drive, in Stockton.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found one individual who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved fled on foot following the wreck. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the roadway to close after the Stockton crash.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
