STOCKTON, CA (September 14, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 4 and Roberts Road in Stockton.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Tuesday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly after 8 p.m.

CHP said a red colored sedan struck a black Cadillac Escalade head-on for an unknown reason in Stockton. They crashed on Highway 4 at the intersection with Roberts Road.

2 Cars Collide Head-On

The incident log added that the sedan with black racing stripes obtained major front-end damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Medical personnel found an occupant of the Cadillac hurt as a result of the collision. They then provided treatment to the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the accident.

Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the sedan abandoned the car and fled on foot.

They described the suspect as a man wearing a white shirt and black pants and going eastbound from Roberts Road. Officers forced a stretch of Highway 4 to shut down following the wreck.

The Stockton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
