1 Injured in Stockton Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 99 Near Eight Mile

STOCKTON, CA (July 24, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 99 in Stockton.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:42 p.m.

CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Stockton. They crashed on southbound Highway 99, just north of Eight Mile Road.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

The incident log described two of the cars involved as Chevrolet Silverado and a Toyota Scion. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Medical personnel found one person hurt as a result of the collision. They provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.

Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the third vehicle did not stop to help and fled the area.

Officers forced the southbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Stockton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
