STOCKTON: Major Injury Accident I-5 Freeway, March Lane Off-Ramp

STOCKTON, Calif., (April 21, 2026) — A multi-vehicle traffic accident involving major injuries happened Tuesday on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway in Stockton near the March Lane off-ramp.
The incident occurred on April 21st at approximately 2:17 p.m. between four vehicles including a black Honda Civic, a white Ford work truck, a white van, and a blue sedan. The details of the crash, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), indicate that the collision initially involved unknown injuries but was later updated to major injuries.
The black Honda Civic, driven by an unidentified female, was reportedly blocking lanes four and five on the freeway. Emergency responders found her trapped inside the vehicle, suffering from injuries to her leg. Fire department personnel were called to the scene to assist with her extrication, and paramedics provided immediate medical assistance.
Additional vehicles involved included a white van that crashed into the right-hand side wall and a white Ford truck with its flashers on. The blue sedan was reported to be obstructing another lane. Technique Tow was requested to remove the black Honda Civic from the scene.
The collision remains under investigation by authorities. The CHP has urged any witnesses to come forward with information that might assist in determining the cause of the accident.
