Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Stockton Crash at Cherokee and Newton Roads
STOCKTON, CA (September 15, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Cherokee Road and Newton Road in Stockton.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and a 1974 green Maverick collided for an unknown reason in Stockton. The two crashed at the intersection of Cherokee and Newton roads.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the ARCO gas station. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Maverick ended up hurt or if they stopped after the wreck. Officers forced the area of Cherokee and Newton roads to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Stockton crash is still under investigation.
