Pedestrian Injured in Stockton Hit-and-Run at Lucile Avenue and Thornton Road
STOCKTON, CA (August 4, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Lucile Avenue and Thornton Road in Stockton.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place early Wednesday. Officers reported the incident at about 2:21 a.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Stockton. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Lucile Avenue and Thornton Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Warner Heights Road. They found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Lucile and Thornton to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Stockton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
