Pedestrian Injured in Stockton Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 4 Near Washington
STOCKTON, CA (August 28, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 4 in Stockton.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident late Saturday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at around 10:21 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason on Highway 4 in the city of Stockton. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Washington Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Medical personnel then found the victim hurt as a result of the incident. They then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the collision.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver did not stop to help the victim and fled the area.
Officers forced a stretch of Highway 4 to shut down following the accident. The cause of the Stockton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
