STOCKTON: Two-Vehicle Crash North Pershing Avenue, Douglas Road
STOCKTON, Calif. (May 1, 2026) — A two-vehicle collision with reported injuries disrupted traffic Friday at North Pershing Avenue and Douglas Road in Stockton, authorities said.
The crash was reported on May 1st around 11:32 a.m. at the Stockton intersection in the Lincoln Village neighborhood, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log. Initial reports indicated both northbound and southbound lanes were blocked following the collision. The driver in a light gray sedan allegedly drove through a red light and crashed into a dark-green Honda sedan, the latter of which wound up in the front yard of a nearby home.
Both drivers were able to exit their vehicles, which came to rest in the crosswalk and partially within the intersection. Emergency crews from the Stockton Fire Department responded to the scene, along with police.
“Both hit their heads pretty good,” the CHP dispatcher stated in the report.
One person was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment. The extent of injuries has not been disclosed.
Authorities requested traffic camera footage from the Stockton Police Department as part of the investigation into the cause of the crash.
Tow trucks, including units from Bob’s Tow and Technique Tow, were called to remove the damaged vehicles, one of which sustained moderate front-end damage.
The intersection was cleared shortly after noon. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
