Stolen Vehicle Crash on Natomas Road Leaves Juvenile Seriously Injured
Major Injury Collision on Natomas Road, West Riego Road
NATOMAS, CA (April 16, 2025) — A juvenile suffered major injuries early Tuesday morning after crashing a stolen vehicle near Natomas Road and West Riego Road, just south of the intersection.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle collision was first reported around 5:20 a.m. on April 16th, 2025. Emergency crews arrived to find the car off the roadway with one occupant inside showing signs of movement. The crash was later classified as a major injury incident.
Investigators determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from a residence on 30th Street in North Highlands. The juvenile reportedly took the keys from inside the home without permission before the crash occurred.
Sacramento Police and other local law enforcement agencies were contacted for assistance, including efforts to confirm the identity of the driver.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no other vehicles were involved. The road has since reopened.
