Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash at Western Ave and 3rd Street
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 24, 2025) — Three people including a tamale street vendor were injured Monday morning after a crash at Western Avenue at 3rd Street in Los Angeles’ Koreatown.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the collision just before 6 a.m. on Feb. 24th at the intersection.
A black Chevy Volt and a red Kia Stinger were involved in a T-bone accident and one vehicle hit a pedestrian working at a tamale business on the sidewalk.
Two adults and a minor were all taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries. The adult female tamale vendor suffered major injuries in the collision.
Two trucks removed the damaged vehicles and debris scattered across 3rd Street.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine if speed was a factor due to skid marks on the roadway.
