MORENO VALLEY, California — A student bicyclist suffered injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Lasselle Street near Rancho Verde High morning of March 1.
As per an article by Press Enterprise, a student was riding a bicycle around 6:45 a.m. at the area when a vehicle involved in a collision jumped the curb and struck the bicycle rider.
The Rancho Verde student was conscious when paramedics arrived and provided them aid. The victim was reportedly transported to a local hospital for additional observation. The student’s name was not released pending next of kin notification.
Further, officials explained that prior to the bicycle accident two vehicles were northbound on Lasselle when one changed lanes and struck the other, causing the second vehicle to ride up on the curb and hit the student, according to Press Enterprise.
Investigators continue to work on gathering information in order to determine charges and liabilities.
