Hit-and-run Crash in Rosemont
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2024) — A student from Albert Einstein Middle School was injured in a bicycle accident Thursday morning across from the school in Rosemont.
A driver struck the student in a school crosswalk near 9325 Mirandy Drive, according to Fox 40 News.
The driver failed to stop after the crash and fled the scene, the report said.
Paramedics transported the patient to a hospital, but it’s unknown at this time if the injuries were serious.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol is searching for the suspect who fled the scene and witnesses are asked to contact them.
School administrators are looking into whether they can improve the safety near the school.
