1 Killed in Studio City Crash on 101 Freeway at Laurel Canyon

STUDIO CITY, CA (February 26. 2023) – A crash killed one person and injured another on the 101 Freeway and Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Studio City.

According to the FOX 11 News and My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck on February 26 at around 2:45 a.m.

The incident happened when at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Studio City. The cars crashed on the westbound 101 Freeway at Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

2 Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced one individual dead at the scene. Another victim ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.

Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of the 101 Freeway to shut down near Laurel for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Studio City crash is still under investigation.
