Fatal Crash Involving Trash Truck on 101 Freeway
STUDIO CITY, Calif. (April 2, 2020) — One person is dead after a collision involving a trash truck and another vehicle on the 101 Freeway in Studio City.
The collision was reported just north of Lankershim Boulevard at 9:29 a.m. to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Paramedics and firefighters responded to the scene where they found one person “beyond medical help,” the LAFD said in a report.
A physical rescue operation ensued to recover the body. There were no other people hurt in the collision. The circumstances that led up to the crash were not disclosed and liability is yet to be determined.
Police issued a SigAlert and are investigating the cause of crash.
