Per the Daily News, Juarez was the driver of a Toyota traveling northbound on Highway 101 when he collided with a BMW driven by Frederick Flores, 53, of Canoga Park.
Juarez tragically did not survive the crash and was determined to have been deceased at the scene.
Flores was injured only to a minor degree and taken to a hospital for treatment. Police officials determined that Flores had been under the influence at the time of the crash.
Flores has since been arrested and remains incarcerated facing charges of vehicular manslaughter on $100,000 bail.
We offer our warmest of thoughts, our prayers, and condolences to the family members of Mr. Juan Juarez as they search for peace and comfort.
