Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Accident at Temperance and Central
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2020) – Sukhjinder Kaur, 45, of Fresno, was identified as the motorist who died back in late August in a crash at Temperance and Central Avenues in Fresno County.
Her husband, Dilawar Singh, was critically injured in the crash.
The Fresno County Sheriff Coroner released the woman’s name and stated that she was driving a Honda Civic that collided with a utility box truck about 1 p.m. on Friday, August 21 at the intersection.
Police believe the Honda Civic failed to make a complete stop for the stop sign and drove directly into the path of the Izuzu utility box truck. Officials mentioned the Izuzu was traveling eastbound on Central approaching Temperance with the right of way when the crash happened.
Paramedics responded to the scene where Kaur was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, Dilawar Singh was critically injured and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was reportedly in a coma and on life support for at least a week after the crash before he also died.
The occupants of the Isuzu appeared unharmed after the accident.
A GoFundMe page was created to help the couple’s two children ages 14 and 21 who lost both of their parents.
