Summer Delpit, 31, ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 23, 2018) — Summer Delpit, 31, has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed on Thursday, July 19th in the 1500 block of E. Vista Way, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office.
The fatal crash was reported about 9 p.m. as she was crossing the busy street mid-block. A southbound female driver in a Toyota Prius struck the woman. The driver was reportedly dragging the victim before she pulled over and stopped in a church parking lot after the fatal crash.
Sadly, the pedestrian died of her injuries before she could be helped by arriving paramedics.
The crash remains under investigation by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department (SDSO).
