Injury Traffic Collision Near Hollywood Way Thursday
Sun Valley, CA (January 23, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 5, also known as Golden State Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch two vehicles collided on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Hollywood Way. Officials described the cars involved in the wreck as a black Lexus sedan, and a gray Honda Civic.
The CHP logged the case on January 20, Thursday, around 9:26 a.m.
When rescue teams arrived, they only found one car disabled at the crash site. Responding paramedics checked the conditions of all the occupants in the black Lexus. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Honda apparently fled the scene before police showed up on scene. Detectives continue to work at this time to identity the hit-and-run suspect.
