Metrolink Train Hits Man on Sheldon Street
SUN VALLEY, California (July 31, 2017) — A man was injured Monday morning when he was struck by a Metrolink train in the 12000 block of Sheldon Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident took place about 7:30 a.m. when the Antelope Valley Line train 282 struck the pedestrian.
The man was taken by paramedics to a hospital for treatment of an arm injury suffered in the train accident.
The report does not indicate what led to the crash.
Train Accident Investigation
An investigation into the Metrolink train accident is underway to determine liability or fault. If a person is hurt due to a dangerous condition or poor maintenance at a train crossing, they may have a legal case against Metrolink. If the train crossing was not properly marked or crossing arms or warning sounds were not activated in time there could be a case against the train operator.
