SUN VALLEY, California (July 31, 2017) — A man was injured Monday morning when he was struck by a Metrolink train in the 12000 block of Sheldon Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The incident took place about 7:30 a.m. when the Antelope Valley Line train 282 struck the pedestrian.

Train Accident Investigation

An investigation into the Metrolink train accident is underway to determine liability or fault. If a person is hurt due to a dangerous condition or poor maintenance at a train crossing, they may have a legal case against Metrolink. If the train crossing was not properly marked or crossing arms or warning sounds were not activated in time there could be a case against the train operator.
