Pedestrian Killed in Sunnyvale Crash at Fair Oaks and Taylor Avenues
SUNNYVALE, CA (April 23, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Fair Oaks and Taylor avenues in Sunnyvale.
According to The Mercury News and CBS San Francisco, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision on April 22 at around 8:20 p.m.
Sunnyvale police said a car struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city’s crosswalk. The vehicle hit him at the intersection of North Fair Oaks and Taylor avenues.
The incident happened when the man was walking eastbound across Fair Oaks Avenue when at the same time, the driver was going north.

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived and found the victim down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Fair Oaks and Taylor avenues to shut down for a time after the accident.
The cause of the fatal Sunnyvale pedestrian crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at (408) 730-7109.
