Pedestrian Killed in Sunnyvale Crash at Wolfe Road and Inverness Way

SUNNYVALE, CA (September 12, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Wolfe Road and Inverness Way in Sunnyvale.

According to an article published by The Mercury News, the tragic accident on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 11 p.m.

The incident happened on September 8 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason near the Apple headquarters in Sunnyvale.

Police said the driver hit the person at the intersection of Wolfe Road and Inverness Way. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the ground.

The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed the wounded party to a San Jose hospital, where they soon died.

The name of the deceased person has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident.

Officers forced the area of Wolfe and Inverness to shut down for a time after the accident. The cause of the fatal Sunnyvale pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
