Bicyclist Victim in Fatal Hit-and-Run
DATE OF COLLISION: Saturday, October 20th
October 22, 2018- According to the East Bay Times, a deadly hit-and-run collision left a bicyclist with fatal injuries over the weekend in the area of Central Expressway and Pajaro Avenue.
Sunnyvale police authorities were notified of the incident at roughly 1:40 p.m.
According to reports, the driver of an alleged 2004-2006 Sienna minivan apparently struck the unidentified male bicyclist before fleeing the scene without rendering any aid to the victim.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene quickly transporting the man to Stanford Hospital, where he tragically did not survive and was pronounced dead a short while after being admitted.
Surveillance footage was able to capture the Sienna Minivan which is believed to have incurred both front-end bumper damage as well as a cracked or damaged windshield.

As of Monday afternoon, the hit-and-run suspect is believed to still be at-large.
Sunnyvale police officials encourage anyone who may have information on this vehicle or suspect to phone the police department at 408-730-7128.
